Yuwen Huang (b.1997, China) currently lives and works in Hamburg. She is a time media artist. Her work is often based on social news and is closely related to the living conditions of contemporary people.
Since 2016, continuous participation in exhibitions, screenings, and performances in Hamburg, Berlin, and Kiel, as well as in China. Her works have been presented, among others, at the HFBK Annual Exhibition 2023–2025 (The Headless Street, WG-Gesucht, have a good dream); at NUKLEUS Kiel; at Fleetstreet Theater Hamburg; at HFMT Hamburg; and at the Festival of Animation Berlin.
Her practice works with moving images and installations, addressing uncertainties around identity, migration, and transcultural experience through multi-dimensional narrative structures, where art operates as a form of “alternative journalism.”
